Greenie Green Smoothie

I usually make this smoothie from time to time. It’s a good detox cleanser when I want to start eating healthier or going all natural. There are many different veggies that you can add to a smoothie to make it green and there are so many different ways and recipes to make this. The most popular ingredients that make the “Green Smoothie” or any Green Smoothie/Juice out there is Kale, Celery, Spinach… any veggies or fruit that’s green, I guess! I am sure you are already thinking, gosh… that’s a salad in a cup and it will probably not be tasty. The secret ingredients to that are fruits and all natural honey! The fruits and honey are going to give your “Green Smoothie” that sweet taste and it almost cancels out the raw veggie taste.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup kale/spinach
  • 1 large apple
  • 4 Kiwi
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp fresh grated ginger
  • 1/2 tbsp honey
  • 4-5 Ice cubes
  • Protein powder (optional)

Directions:

  • Add all your ingredients to a blender, until you reach the thickness you want… and sit back, relax, and green on!

I have to “Confess” that I love adding blueberries to add more antioxidants
